A proven leader in the community for over fifty years, the Oklahoma City Community Foundation has worked with donors to create charitable funds that benefit our community both now and in the future.
Today, we are witnessing a crisis never seen before in our lifetime, and the disruption caused by Covid-19 is affecting the lives of all Oklahomans. As Oklahomans, we’ve seen our share of disasters before, and the Oklahoma City Community Foundation has always been on the forefront to assist our fellow citizens in need during difficult times. So many people want to help during a crisis. To most, that means giving financially, but few people know what it takes to distribute funds to the people and nonprofits affected by tragedy and in dire need. This is where the Oklahoma City Community Foundation exemplifies great leadership – by helping others and strengthening the community with its resources and ingenuity.
This pandemic has forced our government leaders to take unprecedented measures to help slow down the spread of this disease. The Oklahoma City Community Foundation established the 2020 Disaster Relief Fund that is intended to support immediate efforts for those who are most vulnerable from the crisis including health care and basic living expenses. The Oklahoma City Community Foundation started this fund to serve any donors who want to support relief efforts.
The Oklahoma City Community Foundation has and will continue to play a pivotal role within our community to help those in seeking assistance, and establishing this fund was a way to step up and let our most vulnerable citizens know that we are here to help.
The Oklahoma City Community Foundation also encourages all who are willing and can to visit donate.OCCF.org to donate to the 2020 Disaster Relief Fund.
