Advised Funds: Legacy, Gift & Express Funds
Our advised fund options allow donors to support specific charitable organizations or projects, while we handle all of the administrative details. Donors receive an immediate tax benefit at the time of the contribution to the fund, then have the flexibility to make grants over time to charity. We offer three advised fund options: one permanent fund and two with the option to distribute the entire fund balance to charity.

Scholarship & Award Funds
Our scholarship and award funds offer a simple and enduring way to support educational opportunities for students. We administer the state’s largest independent scholarship program that generates more than 700 awards a year. Donors may choose to give to an existing scholarship fund or establish a new fund. Funds for Charitable Organizations
Our charitable organization endowments are permanent funds designed to generate annual distributions to provide long-term support for charities. Donors may establish a new fund on behalf of a charitable organization, or make a gift to an existing fund. We administer the country’s largest charitable organization endowment program with more than 360 organizations participating. Donor Designated Fund
A donor designated fund is a permanent endowment that will forever benefit a general charitable interest or charitable beneficiary organization(s) designated by the donor at the time of the gift. Investment earnings are distributed each year based upon the donor’s original designation.

Affiliated Funds
We offer two types of affiliated funds: one for families and one for charitable organizations. Our affiliated funds are permanent endowments that are similar in structure to private foundations, but offer greater tax benefits with fewer restrictions and administrative responsibilities. Affiliated funds are classified by the IRS as supporting organizations under the Community Foundation’s umbrella. Each fund has its own group of Trustees, with the majority appointed by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation Trustees. Affiliated funds may be established with a minimum of $1 million.

Field of Interest & iFunds
For donors with a particular charitable passion, but who prefer not to be involved in the details of grantmaking, a Field of Interest Fund or iFund might be the perfect solution.
Field of Interest Funds may be established to support charitable interest areas designated by the donor such as foster children, the environment, the arts or animal welfare.

Gifts may also be directed to existing iFunds we administer. Oklahoma City Community Foundation iFunds utilize gifts from multiple donors to support grants in specific focus areas. With rotating grant cycles each year, charitable organizations are invited to apply for grants to provide direct services within each focus area.
- The Support for Special Needs iFund supports direct services for individuals with special needs or disabilities. May be named as a remainder beneficiary of Special Needs Trusts.
- The Opportunities for Children iFund supports direct services for children from birth to age 14, offering access to opportunities that otherwise would not be available such as wellness, cultural, literacy and after-school activities.
- The Access to Health Care iFund supports direct health care services for individuals who otherwise would not have access to these services.
- The Services for the Elderly iFund supports direct services for older adults such as independent living support, wellness programs and community-based social and recreational opportunities.
