The Mission of deadCenter Film is to promote, encourage, and celebrate creativity through independent film. deadCenter Film has grown from a small local film festival established in 2001 to a year-round nonprofit that hosts 30,000 people at Oklahoma’s largest film festival each June, leads free film classes to 3,000 high school and technology center students each fall, provides year-round screenings and continuing education opportunities for working film professionals and provides a $5.3 million economic impact for Oklahoma City. This summer, deadCenter is launching a techCenter conference focused on Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, digital distribution and the latest technologies impacting the film and entertainment industries.
