Our Charitable Organization Endowment Program is the largest of its type in the United States with more than 360 nonprofit organizations participating. Below are the key services we provide those organizations:
Fund Management
Our long-term investment strategies and efficient management of the Charitable Organization Endowment Program funds provides for the future financial needs of the organization. See investment and distribution policies here.
Through Fund Portal, a secure online reporting service, a Charitable Organization Endowment Program organization’s staff and board members can view up-to-date gift history and financial statements for their endowment fund or funds.
Fund Administration
We process all gifts and gift acknowledgements, provide each organization with an annual report of their fund(s) including gifts, distributions and investment performance. Fund representatives can also view this information online at any time via Fund Portal.
Development & Gift Facilitation
The Oklahoma City Community Foundation actively promotes the development of all endowment funds we administer. Specifically, Charitable Organization Endowment Program funds are promoted on an ongoing basis through publications, online via Central Oklahoma Charities – the region’s most comprehensive online nonprofit directory – and through our engagement with professional advisors.
Planned Giving Services
Our planned giving services and expertise are also available to organizations and their board members. We work with donors to facilitate both current and planned gifts and we administer both gift annuities and trusts that will benefit charitable organization endowment funds. Legacy Giving is our online planned giving resource for charitable organizations, donors and professional advisors that offers the latest information and tools for charitable estate gifts. Read more about our planned giving services here.
In addition to gifts of cash, we can facilitate a variety of non-cash gifts to benefit Charitable Organization Endowment Program participant funds. See types of gifts we accept here.
Online Giving Service
We also provide a secure online giving service through which donors can make gifts directly to Charitable Organization Endowment Program funds using a major credit card.
Toolkit
Through the online Charitable Organization Endowment Program participant Toolkit, we provide resources to help the Charitable Organization Endowment Program participants promote their organizations’ endowments to donors. The Toolkit also includes an archive of past E News, a monthly e-newsletter especially for program participants. E News features content on relevant nonprofit topics and charitable giving issues.
Training & CE Opportunities
We offer learning opportunities for participants of our Charitable Organization Endowment Program on a variety of topics including endowment development, planned giving training, IRS rules and regulations, financial management and best practices for nonprofit organizations. Learn more about our Seeds of Planned Giving and Focus on Endowment series for our endowed organizations and, new this year, sessions specifically for our GiveSmartOKC users to help you make the most of your GiveSmartOKC profile.
