<title>IRS announces extended deadline for nonprofits at risk of losing tax-exempt status</title>

<description>The Internal Revenue Service announced a one-time relief program Monday that will help thousands of small nonprofits at risk of losing their tax-exempt status, including more than 4,000 Oklahoma nonprofits. Small nonprofits that failed to file the Form 990-N by the May 17 deadline now have until October 15 to preserve their tax exemption.</description>

<title>Grant Sent to Assist in Long-Term Recovery Efforts in Haiti</title>

<description>The Oklahoma City Community Foundation has awarded nearly $12,000 from the Haiti Earthquake Recovery Fund to assist with the long-term recovery efforts in Haiti. Established by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation following the January 12th earthquake, the fund provided a convenient and easy way for local donors to make charitable gifts in response to the disaster.

"After extensive research we have made a grant to Appropriate Infrastructure Development Group (AIDG), a successful and highly respected nonprofit organization that has been working in Haiti since 2006,” said Nancy B. Anthony, executive director of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.</description>
