Al Good

Born Amato Guariglia in 1916 to immigrant parents, Al Good moved from the East Coast to Oklahoma City in 1945 to direct the orchestra for a local radio station.

An accomplished musician, Oklahoma City's "Mr. Music" soon formed the Al Good Orchestra, a talented group that would quickly become a favorite staple at metro area galas and celebrations until Al's death in 2003.

Oklahoma City area children are carrying on the legacy of Al Good thanks to musical instruments provided through a fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
