The Oklahoma City Community Foundation provides a variety of funds through which donors can support their charitable goals or help community organizations. The funds vary from those where the donor or their designee recommend grants made from the fund to the type of fund where the Oklahoma City Community Foundation makes grants from the fund in accordance with instructions or guidelines set forth the donor. A donor can also establish a fund that benefits specific charitable organizations or make scholarships or awards to students. The Oklahoma City Community Foundation strives to provide donors with simple, effective and flexible alternatives for charitable giving. Click on the fund names below for a more complete description as well as links to each fund's policy and fund agreement: Legacy Fund - an extremely simple way for an individual, family, or even a corporation to create a permanent fund which supports their charitable interests. Gift Fund - serves the needs of donors having a longer-term distribution plan with the option of investment growth and the flexibility to eventually distribute the entire gift for charitable purposes. Express Fund - a simple way to make a gift of stock or other asset in one tax year and decide on the beneficiary at a later time. Affiliated Fund - is an excellent alternative to a private foundation for a large endowment or charitable trust. Appropriate for private foundation management. Scholarship and Award Funds - funds which provide financial aid or awards to students or others based on financial need, competition or other objective criteria. Field of Interest Funds - funds which allow donors to target the benefit of the fund to a particular type of charitable need with the Community Foundation Trustees and staff administering the fund according to the donors' wishes. The Fund for Oklahoma City - gifts made to this fund are unrestricted and administered by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation Trustees to meet the changing needs of the community. They provide the greatest benefit to the community because of the flexibility to address current issues and opportunities. |
