Gift Planning

Charitable gifts can provide financial advantages for donors as well as providing support for charitable causes. The staff at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation help donors determine the way to make a charitable gift that best provides for:

• Maximum tax advantages
• Current income, if needed
• Greatest long-term charitable benefit

The Oklahoma City Community Foundation can assist donors and their financial advisors and attorneys with planned giving issues:

• Bequests for wills or trusts
• Design and administration of:
Charitable Remainder Trusts
Charitable Lead Trusts
Charitable Gift Annuity Contracts
• Gifts of appreciated securities and other non-cash gifts

For donors who want to benefit several organizations or charitable purposes, the Oklahoma City Community Foundation is an excellent vehicle for a simple yet effective planned gift. Current trust documents and annuity contracts are available in the Forms Library.

The Planned Giving Design Center provides both donors and financial planners with the latest information on tax and estate planning. PGCalc, available through the Planned Giving Design Center provides a method of calculating the tax advantages of several types of gift planning techniques. The Community Foundation provides the resources of the Planned Giving Design Center to donors and financial planners free-of-charge although registration is required. At this site, which is maintained by national tax and accounting experts, you will find a tremendous encyclopedia of information about the legal and tax aspects of charitable gifts. As a registered user, you will also receive email alerts with the latest IRS and Tax Court decisions.
