Community Programs & Grants

As part of its mission, the Oklahoma City Community Foundation’s Community Programs addresses specific opportunities and issues in central Oklahoma and provides support through programs and grants for organizations to address these issues in effective ways. Currently, we administer the following Community Programs:

The Fund for Oklahoma City works with good organizations doing important projects that impact the community. Specifically, the Fund for Oklahoma City seeks to work with programs and organizations that promote physical, social and economic quality of life.

The Capacity Building program provides support for organizations to improve their capacity to provide service and meet the goals outlined in a strategic plan. The Capacity Building program is available only to those organizations with charitable organization endowments at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. For a current list of these organizations, please visit Central Oklahoma Charities.

Get Moving OKC! is a program that encourages the integration of simple physical activity into the daily lives of children and adults in central Oklahoma. Grants assist organizations in developing innovative, community-based programs.

Literacy Is For Everyone (LIFE) seeks to provide opportunities for all citizens to read, write and speak English at a functional level.

The Margaret Annis Boys Trust and the Parks & Public Spaces Initiative provides support and encouragement for landscaping and beautification projects in parks, medians and other public lands in the Oklahoma City area.

The Kirkpatrick Family Fund is an affiliated fund of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Programs and grants funded reflect the interests of the Kirkpatrick family.
