The Capacity Building program provides support for organizations seeking to improve their capacity to provide service. Grant support is available only to organizations with charitable organization endowment funds at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. These organizations can apply for grants to fund programs, services or equipment designed to increase their management efficiency or their administrative capacity to provide service, or will provide a good plan for the organization's future. An advisory committee reviews the grant proposals and makes recommendations to the Board of Trustees.

For a list of organizations with charitable organization endowments at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, please see Central Oklahoma Charities.

  1. The proposal should directly relate to implementing some aspect of the long-range plan of the organization
  2. The proposal should increase the management efficiency, program capacity or quality of service of the organization
  3. The benefit to the organization should be clearly identified and easily evaluated
  4. If the organization does not have a current long-range plan, the request may support efforts by the board and staff to develop one
