Nonprofit Services

The Oklahoma City Community Foundation offers many important services for the nonprofit organizations in our community.

Charitable Organization Endowment Program
Started in 1970 by a donor who wanted to create an endowment to benefit one specific organization, our Charitable Organization Endowment Program is the largest of its kind in the country.  Thanks to thousands of donors over the years, the program includes nearly 300 organizations whose endowments provide an annual source of income.

Our program services include all accounting and reporting services for each endowment and for each major donor.  All contributions are acknowledged and we are able to facilitate non-cash gifts. In addition, donors can make gifts using a major credit card to endowments through our secure Online Giving.

Through our Planned Giving Services we work with the organizations’ staff and board members to encourage the growth of the endowments through estate gifts.

Through the John Kirkpatrick Centennial Endowment Challenge, we in conjunction with the Kirkpatrick Family Fund are offering a dollar-for-dollar match opportunity up to $5,000 for both charitable organization and scholarship endowments.  That’s a possible increase of $10,000 to each fund.  The challenge ends December 31, 2008.

Through Community Programs we offer a variety of services for nonprofit organizations including educational roundtable meetings, access to training and our staff’s expertise.  The basic goal of Community Programs is to develop effective solutions to improve our community.

Central Oklahoma Charities is the region’s most comprehensive online directory of charitable organizations.

DonorCentral is a secure online reporting system through which fund representatives can access view fund balances, financial statements and gift history.

The Planned Giving Design Center (PGDC) is a comprehensive and free online resource for professional advisors and donors.
