Community Grants Deadlines | Goals | Guidelines & Criteria | Applications & Grant Forms | Approvals The Lawton Community Foundation is actively working to improve the quality of life in the Lawton area through its Community Grants program. The Community Grants program is designed to respond to the changing needs of the Lawton area - those issues and opportunities which arise and for which endowments could not have been developed Application Deadline: Goals Guidelines and Criteria The project should be new or a significant expansion of a current effort which will provide positive additional impact to the community. The project should benefit a broad range of individuals in the community and not be limited to a small group. The project should have matching support from other resources in the community. The following grant forms are in .DOC file format, readable by MS Word and other word processors. Sample News Release to announce grant Grant Final Evaluation Form Grants from the June 30, 2007 deadline:: Boys and Girls Club of Lawton/Salvation Army, $4,537.36, to purchase new athletic equipment for boys and girls participating in the club. Giddy up N’ Go, $5,000, to make needed repairs to the office space and to purchase office equipment, first aid supplies and veterinarian costs. Goodwill Industries of Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas, $2,500, for the 2008 Summer Camp for Teens with Disabilities. Great Plains AMBUCS, $2,500, to purchase 10 custom built Amtryke Therapeutic Tricycles. Lawton Noon Lions Club, $5,000, dollar for dollar matching grant of up to $5,000 for new contributions to their Scholarship Endowment Fund with the Lawton Community Foundation. Lawton Community Theatre, $3,080, to provide 2nd semester funding for the Introduction to Theatre program being implemented at Whittier Elementary. Museum of the Great Plains, $4,911.90, to fund a month long bike program including an exhibition entitled Wheels in Motion and a weekend festival. Specialized Alternatives for Families & Youth of Oklahoma (Lawton Division), $5,000, for the recruitment and training of 10-15 prospective foster parents to provide therapeutic foster homes for abused and neglected youth in the Lawton area. U.S. Field Artillery Association, $5,000, dollar for dollar matching grant of up to $5,000 for new contributions to their Charitable Organization Endowment Fund with the Lawton Community Foundation. Cache School Education Foundation, $5,000, dollar for dollar matching grant of up to $5,000 for new contributions to their Charitable Organization Endowment Fund with the Lawton Community Foundation. Holy City of the Wichitas, $3,850, for tables, chairs, and installation of heating and air conditioning in the new reception room. Lawton Beautiful, $5,000, for the beautification of Lawton. First United Methodist Church Foundation of Lawton, $5,000, dollar for dollar matching grant of up to $5,000 for new contributions to their Charitable Organization Endowment Fund with the Lawton Community Foundation. |
