What is "Impact Ready?"
Impact Ready is an online catalog consisting of funding requests submitted to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation’s Community Grant Programs. OCCF often receives more worthy proposals than we can fund, but with your help, we can make these requests a reality and you can invest in causes that matter to you.
Carefully vetted by OCCF staff and volunteer-led committees, each proposal in the catalog strengthens local nonprofits by supporting critical, current needs. Impact Ready contains partially funded requests that could reach their full funding goal with your support. Each entry includes a brief summary about the organization and its project, as well as the funding goal.
Impact Ready connects donors who have a donor-advised fund with promising funding needs for causes that matter. Together, we fund more requests and do more good in our community.
How can I give through the catalog?
To get started, log in to your fund portal and navigate to the new “Impact Ready” tab, located on the left-hand menu. Within the catalog, you can scroll through each request and click “Donate” to learn more about proposals that align with your charitable interests. Once you’ve found a request you’d like to support, enter the amount you’d like to give from your donor-advised fund and click “Grant Request.”
What if a request I supported is not fully funded during the Impact Ready period?
Prior to inclusion in the directory, OCCF staff ensured that organizations could scale the proposal if it was not fully funded. Many times, partially funded proposals can still be implemented with modifications to the program. One goal of Impact Ready is to help nonprofits support as many people as possible. Rest assured, a gift of any size will make an impact, especially when we all work together.
Will the grants I recommend show up in my fund portal?
Yes. You can view grants you’ve made through the Impact Ready catalog on the “Grants From Your Fund” tab of the portal. Please note that the “Grantee” will reflect as “Impact Ready Fund” with a description of the nonprofit and project you selected. The reason for this is that all funding is pooled together in the Impact Ready Fund before finally being granted directly to the nonprofit organization.
How do I submit a request to be featured in the catalog?
Currently, only proposals submitted to OCCF Community Grant Programs are eligible for inclusion, as each program completes a comprehensive review and assessment. Impact Ready is in its early stages, and we envision future versions will upgrade its ability to support additional funding requests.
How are organizations selected to be featured in the catalog?
Proposals submitted for OCCF’s Culture and Community Grant Program are eligible for inclusion in Impact Ready for this round; OCCF will load new projects after each grant cycle. Please note that not all application submissions will be featured in the catalog. Requests fully funded by OCCF will not be featured in the catalog, as the goal of the tool is to connect donor-advised fundholders with partially funded requests to amplify impact. Inclusion in the catalog is at the sole discretion of OCCF.
